It's the Mid-Autumn Festival today. Although my immediate family members are now scattered all around Peninsular Malaysia with myself being in PJ, I still want to wish everyone a Happy Mooncake Festival, 中秋节快了!

A photo to make this post relevant to its topic. :P A gift from YY.
Yes! I'm back in the Klang Valley. I drove back alone last Tuesday. It was quite a hectic day as I travelled to Kampar from Ipoh in the morning for my presentation and back to Ipoh again to run some errands. In the afternoon, I made my way to Kampar once again to meet my FYP supervisor and left Kampar for PJ at 6pm.
It rained quite heavily at Slim River and the road looked quite slippery, hence I kept my speed to 60-80 km/h compared to 90-105 km/h on the normal condition highway. It was about 8pm when I had just passed Batang Kali. I was tired, hungry and getting restless. I actually called my dad to ask, "Why drive so long like forever won't reach one??", to which he answered, upon knowing my location, "Wah, how slow you drive?!". Dad, I thought you told me not to speed? Haha.
Anyway, I arrived at my PJ residence safe, sound and in one piece (thankfully) at around 8.30pm and felt so damn tired. Driving long-distance alone is seriously no joke, and especially for a first-timer like me. Wonder how my dad did it all these years. *salute*
And since I was in Klang Valley and had to get a new pair of flats as my current pair looked as though they'd spoil anytime and the following weeks would be busy, I got YY to go to MidValley with me on Saturday. We patronized the shop where we bought two pairs of shoes for RM99 (so we only had to pay RM49.50 each instead of RM69) last time and bought two pairs (one for each of us) for RM99 again this time. Haha.
I also got my baby a lens filter before going to Goku Raku Ramen for an early dinner.

Mine. The soup was rich, thick and delicious; the ingredients complimented the al-dente ramen well. The only drawback was that I personally thought that the char siew from Marutama Ramen in Fahrenheit 88 fared better. Other than that, everything was oh-so good.

Hers.

And a platter of bamboo shoots, char siew and nitamago (we're both egg lovers and YY's ramen didn't have the egg :D) to share.

Her green tea and my honey lemon.
We paid the bill and headed to Carrefour to pick up some daily necessities before going to Snowflake to dabao dessert.

Taroballs series with sweet potato + barley + pearls topping; the ice had already melted when I got home but it still tasted good nevertheless. :D
Before I came back to PJ, there were still a few days when I cooked my meals. Actually, this was supposed to be a continuation from here. Haha.
For Thursday, it was rice-with-dishes business as usual, since I had quite a few otak-otak left and I had to finish it before I leave.

Stir-fried cabbage a bit overdone. Haha.

Mushrooms stir-fried with eggs. I had actually seen it here and liked it so much and thought I'd try cooking it since it looked relatively easy. It was, and tasted wonderful too (I used fresh shiitake mushrooms though)! Me likey. :D

Soup with fishballs and enoki. *slurps*
As for Friday...

Braised potatoes with minced meat. Sorry about the colour though, I added too much dark soy sauce by accident. Haha.

Stir-fried xiu bak choy.
No more soup. Haha.

Since I've always liked aglio olio pasta, I thought of trying to cook some on Saturday, especially since I had fresh shimeiji mushrooms. I didn't have olive oil at home so I dared not use a lot of cooking oil. I added some green capsicums but I guessed it kinda spoilt the taste a little due to its strong smell. I wouldn't say that it was a failure because it tasted okay, but I would need to spice it up a little in my next attempt. :D
I did not cook for the rest of the days as I was busy finishing off whatever leftovers I had in the fridge. Muahaha~
