When I was working the other day, I had the chance to tour around the Faber-Castell 250th anniversary exhibition after it was launched in Pavilion KL. With my camera in my bag, it's only natural to take it out to snap a few shots of the grand event. Hehe.

An overall picture.

That's the founder of the company, greeting you as you make your way down to the concourse.

That's the main stage.

Yes, it's a real harp player! Cool eh? I've never seen people playing the harp, live.
Now, let's have a look at some of the things being showcased there.

A colourful display greeting you as you enter the premises of the exhibition.
Walk further in and you'll find...

Worth a freaking €10,000!!

A rather unsuccessful attempt at zooming in on the three diamonds studded on the cap of the world's most expensive pencil.

From the 17th century!

Measured at 17.5mmlong short.
On another side...

There's a timeline depicting the milestones of the company.

And also showcases with the more-commonly seen and used stationery.

There were also some more higher end or limited edition writing instruments for sale/display.

Since Faber-Castell is well associated with pens, pencils, erasers, colour pencils, etc for kids, there's also a kid's corner with colourful displays and a place for some kid activities.

It's an anniversary celebration after all - how could some exciting activities be missing?

There's a guess-the-number-of-something contest.

You can also get someone to draw a caricature of you, using Faber-Castell stationery, of course. Haha.

Last but not least, what's an exhibition for if there's nothing for sale at the end?
The exhibition will be there until Sunday before touring the rest of the country, so be sure to catch it if you can!
p/s: This is not a sponsored post, by the way. It's a good change of topic from the usual food and outings. Hehe.

Faber was the founder. Then who was Castell?
One of his descendants married into the Castell family and hence the name Faber-Castell.
Love this so much!!! Thanks a LOT! BTW, I'm gonna post a link to this entry in my blog, is it okay?
Warm regards,
I've seen your post. Thanks for featuring this post in your blog. :)
