I. Must. Update. Once. Before. August. Ends.
It's the last day of August already!! LOL.
The end of August meant the end of my internship. Personal matters went slightly out of control during my last week at work and I was rather emotional then. But thanks to the people who love me so much - parents, especially - I managed to overcome mymidlife minor crisis and the outcome of my decisions were: i) extend the deadline of my FYP to end of the year and graduate then; ii) continue working in the company where I did my internship for one more month; and iii) we'll see how it takes off from there.
Well, that's the plan, for now.
It was a very hard decision to make. But having set my mind and goal, the only way is to take the plunge and hope for the best.
Due to my family's increasing needs of usingmy the camera and not wanting to be a bad girl who keeps hogging the compact camera, I've finally added another baby to the family. And now, I can safely say that it is my camera. ♥
Took me about 2 weeks to finally come up with the decision and the new baby was brought home on the historical date of 20 August 2011. It could have been earlier, if I wasn't down with food poisoning. LOL.
Panasonic should serious thank my dad for turning me into a loyal Lumix user. It was thanks to his purchase of the compact DMC-FS15 that had me so impressed with the features it offered.
I'm currently back in Ipoh for the Raya break; will be back to work after my presentation in Kampar next week. My boss was so kind to excuse me for three days so that I don't have to travel back and forth (but I have to replace the off days - gladly - of course).
On Monday, I went for 5 hours straight of karaoke with Yeang - one of my Ipoh karaoke buddies apart from the twins whom I've never karaoke-d with for a long, long time. Before that, we went for lunch at the quite-newly opened Wok Sifu in Jusco.
Her cheese-baked rice.
My Korean-stone pot rice. Mah mah dei only.
I wonder when we'd have the chance toshout sing to our lungs content again...
Since all the nice makan places in Ipoh will be packed and jammed like hell (thanks to the surge of homecoming Ipohans), I thought I'd be better off cooking my own meals at home.
Braised yee mee with egg for dinner on Monday.
I cooked rice with dishes for Tuesday. Lazy people like me normally cook for both mealsto save gas, water, electricity and energy to make my life easier. Haha.
Stir-fried choy sum.
Fried egg with onions and a bit of leftover minced meat.
Pile it up on some rice together with some leftover meat cooked by mum.
I cooked more rice yesterday so that I can make fried rice today! Woohoo!
Garlic fried rice. I should put more garlic. LOL!
And I personally love this shot very much. ;-)
Mushroom soup to go with the fried rice.
I boiled turnips with chicken bones overnight to make the soup.
The mushrooms were added this morning, resulting in a soup so sweet (清甜)!
And to spice up my dinner, my aunt had actually sent some otak-otak over. Muahahaha my fave!
*burps*
And that's all for today. Wonder when's the next update. O.o *lol*
p/s: Although the post is titled "Merdeka update", the absence of anything related to the independence day of Malaysia is purely intentional. =)
p/p/s: Needless to say, all the photos in this post were taken using my Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3. Hehe.

Just a random test shot.
