A quick update

Working still has me as tired as ever although everything's fine. Weekdays simply fly past when working and weekends, they fly even faster. I've learnt to appreciate my weekend way more than I did. Not that I didn't last time, but the no-fixed-timing and frequent occasional skip-class-to-go-home-sleep schooling days gave me more flexibility in my time management, sleep wise, especially. But now, not anymore. And that's why I now feel that weekends are too short!!

Anyway, I planned to write a post last weekend but the inability to transfer a few photos from my phone to my laptop via Bluetooth delayed my intention till today, where I'm blogging from the comfort of my Ipoh home. Yup, it's the time of the month to balik kampung. Hehe.

1) Molly was in Genting during the 18 June weekend for a wedding dinner with her bf, hence YY, YN and I went up to meet her for a gathering-cum-chill out session. And where could be a better spot to literally and figuratively chill than the resort up at the mountains? :D

2) Went for a recce all the way to Sepang with two of my colleagues. It was more like a sightseeing trip. And it was at times of such that you'd wish you really really have a decent camera phone when the camera is tucked comfortably in a corner in your hometown. =(

At the jetty near the river mouth. It actually looked a whole lot nicer in reality with mangrove trees growing in thick bushes at the riverbanks... but what to do, the max resolution of my phone's camera is only a pathetic 2MP. Sigh. The highlight of this "half day (working) trip" was probably the speedboat ride we took all the way to the sea and back during sunset. Ahhh... bliss. I was so damn tired when I arrived home at 10.15pm but it was so worth it. :D

3) Went shopping with YN at Midvalley last Saturday as I needed to get a good pair of heels which is comfortable and more importantly, safe and stable enough so that the prone-to-twisted-ankles me can minimize the risk. Haha.

My loot. Had to thank the Hush Puppies outlet for running out of stock, else I wouldn't have gotten this pair with a JCard member 15% discount. Muahaha.

4) After shopping, YN returned to my home with me and Justin drove us to Fahrenheit 88 for dinner. As YN and I were still quite full from our heavy late lunch at Kim Gary, we just shared a bowl of ramen with seaweed, char siew and egg (picture below; top right; RM28) while Justin had the spicy ramen with six types of nuts (picture below; top left; RM26). The soup (rich chicken stock) was awesome and so was the egg (no decent camera = no close up *pouts*)!

5) Last Sunday, Justin and I went to have a simple lunch at Fish & Noodle House in Damansara Kim (SS20). I love fish (head) noodles and it was pretty good (picture above; bottom left; RM7.50), not to mention the pan-fried salmon (picture above; bottom right; RM15.90).

6) Thanks to my company (unable to reveal full story :P), I actually spent RM0 to watch Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 3D on the first day of screening without having to go through the pain of getting tickets (KL people are very scary, you know? Haha.) nor the hassle of kiasu-ly buying tickets waaaaay before the movie premiered. And the best part? I got one of the best seats - twin seat a.k.a. the first row from behind! Woohoo! Thanks colleagues! ♥

And the irony? It was only during lunch time that day when I was talking about only attempting to get tickets for this movie at least a fortnight later when the hype dies down a little and I would only go for the 2D version because 3D for action movies as such is a big no-no for me, since the 3D specs make me kinda dizzy from past experience. Haha.

And surprisingly, for someone who is usually so damn tired after work plus more than 2 hours donning that 3D specs, I felt perfectly fine right from the start till the end, apart from finding it a bit difficult to balance myself for a while when walking out of the theatre after the movie. Haha. It's kinda hard to believe that I actually watched such a grand and anticipated production on its first day of screening - even YY, YN and my bro found it hard to believe (they know me so well *lol*) - even more so in 3D. Haha.

I understand that the tickets for this weekend have long been sold out in cinemas around Klang Valley, so I don't want this to be a spoiler (well, it was actually because I'm not good at writing reviews :P). But you should really, really go watch it - 3D if possible. It's just awesome, much better than its prequel (Revenge of the Fallen). Seriously.

7) Before we left for Ipoh this morning, the three of us went to Departure Lounge at Damansara Jaya for breakfast. All of us ordered the Do It My Way breakfast set, which was scrumptious and fulfilling. I had mine (bottom left; RM11.90) with the espresso (RM5) while YN had her 3-items (top right; RM8.90) with hot milk. The one with the sunny side-up was YY's (top left; RM11.90).

One more makan place ticked off the list! :D

I NEED MY THE (well, since it's technically not mine although I'm the one who used it the most, haha) CAMERA BACK!! Eating sessions had been a pain in the ass without decent cameras (though the one I'm using is not a dSLR but it sure gave better photos than phones). T_T

The Lumix will follow me back to PJ tomorrow! So if there are anymore eat-out sessions before my next post which date of publication remains unknown, you would be able to see better quality photos. Hehe.
