Tag: (One of) My Favourite Food

L B claimed that he tagged me in his latest post, but no matter how hard I looked, I didn't see my name there. But since this is such an enjoyable tag, I'll just oblige lah, so that he can owe me another Starbucks Frappuchino. :P

Since it said in the instructions to write about "your favorite food in your state or country", I was about to post something more Malaysian like satay, bak kut teh, roti canai, nyonapenang kuih, but many people have done so. So, why not I do a "revolutionary" change for a bit? Hehe.

Please do not have the wrong concept that this is the only food I favour in Perak and Malaysia. NO WAY! The list of Malaysian (and non-Malaysian as well) food I absolutely LOVE is endless. Yes, e-n-d-l-e-s-s endless. Just so proves that I'm a Malaysian, haha. And I guess most of you are in the same predicament as me too, no?

So... allow me to present something which is from Malaysia (I think) but is unlike the normal Malaysian hawker fare that most of the people who have done this tag had posted - Chocolate Banana Cake from Secret Recipe!

Secret Recipe. Fine Quality Cakes. (And don't I agree!)

Ta-da! One slice of Chocolate Banana Cake, freshly tapao-ed from the outlet in Ipoh Garden just now on the way back home from dinner.

Actually I like most chocolate cakes from Secret Recipe - not to mention the brownies too - which you may be interested to have a look here. Since I'm lactose intolerant, I stayed away from cheesecakes. :)

Done! Ei... not so. Yet. Have to get on with the requirements. ;)

And the last, best part, I have to pick five other people to share their favourite food. So, the honour goes to...
  1. Eric Fu - My First Food Tag
  2. Jasmine - 好事!
  3. Jiun Wuu - since he requested that I 放马来 last time.
  4. JoeC - haven't tagged him for a long, long time.
  5. zeroimpact - I don't think he's been tagged. :P
Officially done. Gosh... this must be the tag I enjoyed doing the most. Again I stress, the abovementioned food is not my only favourite. Remember that. Hahaha!

Hello Daydreamer
I hopped over from Nyonya Penang's blog.
I am still working on this tag which Nyonya left opened.
Oooo... that choc banana cake is also one of my favourites. Each time I visit Malaysia, I have to eat at Secret Recipe and 'ta pau' their cakes home. yummm...
Love the food there too especially that lamb stew. mouth watering already... hahaha

I like to indulge in this cake occasionally too. The other one that I like is their Moist Chocolate cake. :)

L B: Hahaha! We need revolutions once in a while, don't we?

You can get Secret Recipe's Chocolate Banana cake at their outlets nationwide. ;)

*runs off happily to jot down another Starbucks Frappuchino in "L B Owes Me" Buku 555*

kyh: At the moment, two. And countless of CCF. You want? :D

I also like their Chocolate Indulgence. Ah, sinful!! Why buy whole cake out of the blue? Nobody's birthday also. :P

angel: That's why if you have constant access to good things, they are not so good anymore. LOL! Yup, that's Kenny and Nyonya's birthday cake that day. I meant to put a sidenote but it slipped my mind. :D

AceOne118: Cakes also no more liao. Hahaha!!

nyonyapenang: Hehehe!! *gives nyonya serviette*

Jiun Wuu: If not sincere I also won't remember your "放马来" since so long ago! Haha.

Faster! We're still waiting. PJ/KL food also can!

J.T.: Hello, a warm welcome to you and thanks for visiting! Yes, Secret Recipe's cakes are indeed mouth-watering. Their lamb stew, however, doesn't really attract me, probably due to we have a shop here which sells better lamb shank. :)

lynnx01: LOL! Brownies also very nice.

King's wife: I prefer Chocolate Indulgence to Moist Chocolate. Maybe because I'm fed up of moist chocolate cakes already. Hehe.

Jiun Wuu: 我还在等. :P

Chen: Yeah, it's quite nice. I'm sure Penang has got Secret Recipe cafes. So, go try it out with your hubby one day. :D
